Excellent book on a very interesting subject. Makes a great bookshelf companion to Damien Burke's book TSR2 Britain's Lost Bomber. The books cover the same history but from different perspectives.

There are some good pictures I have never seen before and the text is very informative/5(16). TSR2 - Britain's Lost Bomber.

The TSR2 is one of the greatest 'what-if' aircraft of the Cold War, whose cancellation still generates anger and controversy among aviation fans.

It was a magnificent, cutting-edge aircraft, one of the most striking of the Cold War, but fell victim to cost overruns, overambitious requirements, and politics.

Its scrapping marked the point when Britain's aerospace industry could no longer build. A picture book from that includes eight pages of large monochrome pictures of the TSR2, including a few pictures rarely if ever seen elsewhere, and a colour picture on the cover.

TSR The Untold Story is a fascinating documentary about an aircraft that almost no one outside the world of aviation-history-geekage has heard of. It would have been years, perhaps even decades, ahead of its time if it had been cleared for production but sadly the approval stamp never landed and it was relegated to the scrap heap.
